The Concept

Every Humor On Hold production we create for Wellington Implement is a celebration of small-town rural America. Like the residents of Mayberry in The Andy Griffith Show and Lake Wobegon of The Prairie Home Companion radio program, the fictitious townspeople we bring to life have their quirks. There’s the fella who thinks he concocted a cure for canker sores in his barn and another who takes nightly pleaure in whistling Adele tunes while walking through a cornfield in nothing but his underpants. Their stories are told by a no-nonsense narrator who has both a genuine affection for those people and no trouble pointing out their eccentricities.

“As always, the primary goal of Humor On Hold is to entertain the audience, while shortening perceived hold times and endearing our client to their callers,” said our Chief Creative Officer Scott Greggory.

About Our Client

For nearly a century, Wellington Implement has worked with farmers, homeowners and construction pros, selling and servicing new and used tractors, combines, backhoes and other equipment. Along with the Wellington, Ohio flagship store, they also have locations in Medina and Ashland. The four-generation, family-owned company is one of the leading businesses in north central Ohio.
